A genuinely restored chestnut drying shed, tastefully done, in the heart of the village of La Porta in Castagniccia

It is with taste and respect for the typical architecture of the Castagniccia that this former chestnut drying house has been transformed into a comfortable private home. Located at Place du Marché, at the top of the village of La Porta, the 'capital' of the Castagniccia, this holiday home offers you peace and comfort for 4 people, close to all the village amenities: grocery store, post office, restaurants. The holiday home is arranged over two floors, with the living spaces on the ground floor, including a large living room/kitchen and a beautiful 58 m² terrace, and on the upper floor, the sleeping area with two bedrooms and a bathroom/WC with walk-in shower. A second WC is also available on the ground floor. The interior fittings and equipment will ensure a 100% comfortable stay (air conditioning, Wi-Fi, etc.). and the wood-burning stove will warm the evenings during autumn or winter stays. This cottage is ideal for lovers of peace, nature, and walks, who enjoy discovering the rural and village life of one of the richest regions of the island: Castagniccia (Chestnut Grove). Located in the heart of the Corsica Regional Natural Park, Castagniccia is a lush and cool region that will introduce you to the history, architecture, and customs of central Corsica. You will also appreciate the proximity of Folelli, 20 km away, with its many shops and services: supermarket, doctors, gas stations, banks, restaurants... And of course, the sea 20 km away with its large sandy beaches.
