L'Île-Rousse

In the heart of the Balagne region, near Calvi, the pretty little town of Île-Rousse has narrow streets, a market square where it is pleasant to taste local specialties.
Located on the waterfront, Île-Rousse offers many water activities. From the coast, it is possible to observe the red granite islands in the distance.
There are many activities: Festimare in June, the book fair in July, the famous “A Balanina” pedestrian race in October, or the Balagne rally in November. Do not miss the emblematic Île Rousse lighthouse dating from 1857 and offering a magnificent panorama of the port.
