In the region of the Niolu
Organized for the first time in January 2009 in the Niolu region near the Restonica valley, the Restonica Trail Blanc aims to be a friendly sporting event in which everyone can participate.
Indeed, if the main attraction of the event is the 18.3 km race for a positive elevation of 650m through the powder, the less athletic people also have the opportunity to participate in a 7km walk; all for a good cause since a part of the income of the Restonica Trail Blanc is donated to an association called La Marie-Do.
Between forest and ridges, through the laricci pines and birch trees and perhaps alongside the bighorn sheep, the route aims to be a real white paradise in Corsican nature which dazzles the hundreds of participants each year.
With a departure from Castel de Vergio, the Restonica Trail Blanc is an opportunity for everyone to run, walk or simply meet up with friends around a large fire lit for the occasion. As they arrive, participants are greeted with joy and good humor by the organizers and spectators and are then invited to enjoy a delicious meal around the fire.
