Lama cinema festival

Amateur or passionate about the 7th art? How about attending the Lama film festival during your vacation in Corsica?
It is in a charming village of Balagne, in North-Corsica, that the organizers of the Lama film and cinema festival invite you to attend screenings of Corsican and European films

If it was born for the first time in 1994 thanks to some inhabitants of the village eager to share their passion for the cinema by showing films in the open air at nightfall, the Lama film and cinema festival is today a cinematographic event whose popularity goes far beyond the Mediterranean.

Surrounded by a charming village of Balagne, the Lama film and cinema festival is organized every year at the end of July.
During a week, thanks to the Lama film and cinema festival, the village welcomes many stars of the 7th art among which professional directors whether they are islanders or come from all over Europe, passing from 150 inhabitants in winter, to 800 in July.

Among the actors and directors already passing through the village of Lama, there are notably: Stéphane Audran, Daniel Auteuil, Catherine Frot, Sandrine Bonnaire, Julie Depardieu and many others. All the directors have the same objective: to present quality films and to attend the preview screenings of the different works all having the same theme, namely: rurality.

Thousands of spectators, all passionate about cinema and coming from Corsica and elsewhere, have the opportunity to sixty screenings organized in full and in the village hall, all in a breathtaking setting, overlooking the Ostriconi valley.

On the program: an international selection of around twenty short or feature films and documentaries.
As for symposia and workshops, the event takes place in the 'Stallo', magnificent old stables remarkably restored. Children are not left out since programs such as round tables, conferences and other workshops for directing or scriptwriting will be dedicated to them, in a pleasant setting: a steep lane in the heart of the village where they install on cushions.

During a week, young and old have the opportunity to treat themselves to a week of cinema under the gaze of the stars; for everyone.
