Hunting and fishing in Ponte-Novu

Created in 2004 the hunting and fishing fair also known as 'Fiera di a caccia è di a pesca' is generally held each year during the last weekend of June, in Ponte-Novu , in the town of Castello di Rostino in the region of the Center of Corsica.

The purpose of this fair, the only one organized around this theme in Corsica, is for a weekend to immerse yourself in the world of fishing and hunting by making different visitors discover the many facets hunting (all game) and fishing (in the river), practices that are deeply rooted in Corsica.
Various activities linked to nature, such as culinary art, culture, or even armory are also to be discovered during the hunting and fishing fair.

Since its creation in 2004, the hunting and fishing fair has diversified to offer new demonstrations to visitors from Corsica and elsewhere: river fishing techniques, point dogs, blood tests, competitions from clay pigeon shooting and fishing to conferences and the presence of falconers with their birds of prey are on the program.
Thanks to this diversified program, the event manages to bring together an audience of amateurs and connoisseurs.

Also note the presence of many Corsican artisans who have come to exhibit their works and creations, as well as musical entertainment generally scheduled at the end of the first day.
