Do you want to take advantage of your holidays in Corsica to discover Corsican wine productions and viticulture?
How about visiting the Corsican vineyards during your stay in Corsica? Sciaccarellu, niellucciu, vermentinu, the three emblematic grape varieties of Corsica await you for an explosion of flavors with Gîtes de France Corse

A unique heritage

With amazing landscapes, and 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, Corsica has been an undeniable wine country and has always done so.
With sun-drenched vines and numerous microclimates, Corsica has 9 appellations of controlled origin (AOC), 8 appellations of protected origin (PDO) and offers succulent productions.

In perpetual adaptation to changing weather conditions but above all to new viticulture techniques, Corsican winegrowers have made Corsican wine productions famous and notorious for the general public.
The reason for this popularity? Their originality.

With its three emblematic grape varieties and especially endemic to Corsica that are: sciaccarellu, niellucciu and vermentinu, the Corsican vine has a solid base. If sciaccarellu and niellucciu concern red wine productions, the third is specific to white wine.
All three also contribute greatly to the reputation of Corsican wine.
