In Lucciana

The oldest fair in Corsica, the Canonica fair took place for the first time in 1898 in Lucciana, in the Grand Bastia region.
This history makes the Canonica fair the oldest fair in Corsica. After sleeping for a few years, it returned to the front of the stage in 2002 with a single goal: to put island traditions in the spotlight, in particular through 'the products of the earth and the work of men'.

Each year, the Canonica fair takes place over three days, on the occasion of the Pentecost weekend.
Nearly a hundred exhibitors, artisans and local producers such as micro-brewers, biscuits and cutlery make the trip for exhibitions and authentic moments.

This large and beautiful showcase of island know-how is installed in the form of an ephemeral village, under the capitals of Lucciana, on the archaeological site of Mariana founded a century before J.C.

Each year, more than 10,000 visitors come together through the aisles of the Canonica fair to discover the different artisans and producers and share a warm moment.
In addition, activities for young and old are also offered throughout the weekend, such as choirs, sports demonstrations or creative workshops.

Note that the Canonica fair is also famous for its mass and its Pentecost procession, traditionally organized at the end of the event.
