Our holiday accommodation in the Bastia region

For a getaway holiday in Corsica, why not choose the magnificent region of Bastia with Gîtes de France® Corsica ? A wide choice of holiday rentals in Corsica await you, including gites, B&Bs and prestige properties, for an unforgettable experience !

To the north lies Cap Corse, a long ridge stretching out into the sea for 40km, following the Corsican oceanic shale ridge. A coast road runs around the region past pretty pebble beaches, tiny harbours and Genoese towers.

To the west, Le Nebbio fans out into the sedimentary basin of Aliso, surrounded by hills and mountains up to 1,500m high. The hillsides are planted with vines (Patrimonio wine, particularly Muscat, is greatly appreciated) and olive trees (used to make oil and for woodcraft). The village of Saint Florent is an absolute must to visit in this region !

To the south, La Marana is characterised by long beaches of fine sand along the coast of the lagoon. Further afield, La Casinca has picturesque villages, many with traditional stone roofs, perched at the top of hillsides planted with olive and chestnut trees.

Bastia merits special attention. The Place Saint-Nicolas, bordered with plane trees and palm trees, is very lively and is a popular meeting place for friends in the evening. The town is dotted with Baroque-style chu ches, where purple and gold trompe-l'œil paintings mingle with marble sculptures.
