FAQ: how to book online

What documents do I receive when I make a reservation with the Gîtes de France Corse Booking Service ?
When you register a booking with the Gîtes de France Corse Booking service, by Internet or by telephone, your rental contract will be sent to you by e-mail or regular mail.

It will set out the general conditions of sale and the descriptive summary of the accommodation you've reserved. The rental contract should then be sent back to us immediately if the reservation is firm. (A firm reservation is one where you made an on-line payment). The contract should be sent back within 8 to 10 days if it is an optional reservation.

What are the terms of payment ?
We ask for 25 % on reservation and the balance no later than one month before the first day of the rental period.

However, if your reservation is made more than 6 months before the first day of the rental period, we initially ask you to simply return the contract filled in and signed.
We then ask you to make the 25% down payment 6 months before the first day of your rental period.

Please also bear in mind that for late or last minute reservations (made within one month of the first day), only settlements by banker's card or urgent cash transfer orders are accepted by our Reservation Department. We also have a fully secure online payment system, accessed through our website.

What do I do if I don't want to take out cancellation insurance ?
We systematically propose the option of cancellation insurance when you book through our Booking Service.

If you don't wish to take up this option and you reserve by phone, simply cross out the option after you receive your contract and before you send it back.  The amount will not be charged to you when you pay the final balance.

If you pay by Internet, you simply do not subscribe to the option and the contract you receive will not show it. However, once the cancellation option has been subscribed, you can't reverse your decision. Nor can you add the option in at a later date, on payment of the balance, if you did not subscribe on first reservation.
