During your stay in Corsica, you'd like to discover products from Corsican gastronomy or crafts?
How about going to Quercitellu, in North-Corsica to attend the Pratu fair? Corsican breeders and producers will be there to present their products to you: cheeses, honeys, pastries and artisanal creations

Bocca di u Pratu

The Festival of the Col of Prato, locally known Bocca di u pratu, is held high up on a mountain pass, in the village of Quercitellu in North-Corsica on the Eastern Coast, a thousand metres above sea level!

An amazing venue! Meet sheep rearers and shearers, admire their flocks and taste the authentic products specific to Corsican cuisine.
Sample local produce: cheese, honey and patisseries, and learn how to prepare them in traditional Corsican recipes.

Depending on the year, debates and competitions are organized. The finest bulls, cows, pedigree rams and billy-goats are on show.

During the Pratu festival in Quercitellu, a race is organized over the mountains from Bocca di u Prato to San Pedrone and back again, a 9 kilometre course and  a 1,000 metres climb from low to high point. The record is 45 minutes!

Among other varied activities are children's games, sampling and sale of Corsican veal, discussions and dedications of the works of writers and novelists, poetry reading evenings and singing in a venue that is loved by the best-known Corsican artists.
There is a high (sung) mass at San Petru d`Accia. And to top it all, the fiercely competitive boules competition, offering prizes for all categories of player!
